Poetry & Audience
Poetry & Audience began as an undergraduate publication in 1953, founded by a student, Ralph Maud. The journal has featured many famous names over its seventy-year history, including Stevie Smith, Donald Davie, Geoffery Hill, Carol Ann Duffy and Tony Harrison (himself an undergraduate at Leeds in the 1950s). The journal has a long history of placing the work of established poets alongside the work of undergraduate students at the University of Leeds, often makingĀ Poetry & Audience the first place up and coming poets see their work published in print.
The current editors are Jon Gilbert & Blaise Sales
