Nick Thurston is author of two poetic books, Reading the Remove of Literature (2006) and Of the Subcontract (2013), and author or co-author of numerous chapbooks, pamphlets and broadsides. His poetic and critical work have been anthologised in Europe and North America and translated into several languages. He regularly writes essays and reviews for the literary and art press as well as academic publications.
Editorship is central to his life as a reader and writer. From 2006-18 he was co-editor of the acclaimed independent press and writers' collective, Information as Material. His next scholarly volume, Back to Front Truths, co-edited with Maik Fielitz, will be published in early 2019. At Leeds, Nick is Associate Professor of Fine Art and co-founding director of the Artists' Writings and Publications Research Centre.
